SARANAC LAKE – The first baby of the new year to be born at Adirondack Medical Center arrived Sunday, Jan. 2.
Melissa and Jordan Favro, of Lake Placid, welcomed their six-pound, 12-ounce daughter, Amelia Elisabeth, into the world at 4:42 a.m.
Nursing staff in AMC’s Stafford New Life Center put together a celebratory gift basket, which was presented to the family today.
Adirondack Medical Center expects to deliver approximately 200 babies this year, which is a ten percent increase over 2021 deliveries.
