As a key community institution in the heart of the Adirondacks for over a century, Adirondack Health takes tremendous pride in delivering our legacy of healing to the residents and visitors who cherish the unequaled characteristics of our region.
Our medical and support staff is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the patients, residents and visitors they serve. With an experienced medical staff, board certified in 25 specialties, we provide an interdisciplinary approach that serves patients where they need us, when they need us.
Each of Adirondack Health's employees is committed to helping our patients maintain a healthy lifestyle, recover from an illness or to care for them during an emergency. And the results show. Click here to see how our patients and others rate the care at Adirondack Health.
In addition to our contribution to the physical and social health of our region, Adirondack Health is the largest private employer in the Adirondack Park. Our workforce of 900 employees and physicians plays a significant role in the economic vitality of our region. We are leading care for a healthy community.
OUR MISSION
We honor a mission of excellence, healing and compassion close to home that goes back more than a century and goes forward just as far.
OUR VISION
To be the trusted guide to health and trusted provider of healthcare in the Adirondacks.
Adirondack Health is a not-for-profit organization with a strong commitment to serving our region.
Our Community Benefit Program is designed to address specific health needs, with a focus on improving access to healthcare and increasing prevention through education. Our employees actively participate in Community Health Improvement initiatives designed to educate our stakeholders about important issues in healthcare and community health.
We offer a wide variety of free classes that focus on important issues such as cardiac disease, prenatal care, smoking cessation, CPR, diabetes and more. We host blood drives throughout the year and support flu clinics. Partnering with local high schools and colleges, we engage students interested in a healthcare career and offer them an opportunity to gain first-hand experience working in a hospital setting.
To help build a healthier community, we also partner with other area nonprofits with similar missions, such as St. Joseph's Addiction and Rehabilitation Center, High Peaks Hospice, North Country Life Flight, the U.S. Olympic Training Center and Mercy Care for the Adirondacks.
Our patients and residents are often our friends, our family members, our neighbors, and this deep community connection inspires us and drives us to provide excellent healthcare, close to home.
