Dr. Emily Szczech joined the Adirondack Medical Center Medical Staff in 2017. Prior to her appointment, she was on staff at four community hospitals in Northern New Jersey.

After completing her undergraduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, Dr. Szczech received her medical training at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. Following this, she completed her General Surgery residency at St.Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ.

Dr. Szczech provides care for patients needing general surgical and endoscopic care. She has a special interest in breast surgery and is a member of The American Society of Breast Surgeons. Dr. Szczech is excited to have a growing practice in the Adirondacks and looks forward to helping the breast center at Adirondack Health reach its full potential to best serve the community.
