‘Wellness is a Laughing Matter’ at Adirondack Health Foundation’s annual symposium

SARANAC LAKE – Feeling blue now that summer has passed? The Adirondack Health Foundation is prescribing attendance at this year’s annual health symposium on Tuesday, Oct. 13, where laughter is the best medicine.
Headlining the “Wellness is a Laughing Matter” Symposium is Physician and Certified Speaking Professional Dr. Brad Nieder, a humorous doctor and comedian whose blend of healthcare humor and wellness advice delivers an uplifting message. Known as “The Healthy Humorist®” audiences love Dr. Brad’s “Laughter is the Best Medicine” program, finding it both entertaining and inspiring. His informative presentation engages audiences with a unique perspective into laughter as a method for managing pain, enhancing immune system function, reducing stress and much more.
The evening begins at 5 p.m. with the “Wellness is a Laughing Matter” Reception, featuring wares, raffles and demonstrations from a variety of local exhibitors. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. Dr. Brad takes the stage at 7 p.m. for the keynote address. The symposium takes place at the Conference Center at Lake Placid on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Early-bird registration is $15 through Oct. 9, and $20 at the door on the day of the event.
