National rural healthcare expert to give community presentation
SARANAC LAKE – Rural healthcare is evolving, and Adirondack Health has invited a national expert to share his perspective and ideas for adapting to a shifting landscape.
Eric K. Shell, a Director with Stroudwater Associates, will lead a presentation and community discussion entitled “The Evolving Rural Healthcare Environment: Surviving the Crossing of the Shaky Bridge.” This event is free and open to the public on Wednesday, May 28 at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts. There will be a reception with light refreshments at 5:30 p.m. followed by the presentation at 6 p.m.
Mr. Shell has over 25 years of experience in healthcare financial management and consulting. Since joining Stroudwater in October 1997, his areas of responsibility have been to assist rural hospitals, rural health clinics, and physician group practices in improving financial and operational performance and developing strategic and operational plans.
