Jingle bell runners and walkers spread cheer for good causes
Big smiles were beaming and lots of bells jingling around Mirror Lake in Lake Placid for the 5th annual Holiday Village Stroll Adirondack Health Jingle Bell Run/Walk. The annual event supports the Adirondack Health Fit for Life program. New this year, gently used athletic shoes were collected for donating to Soles4Souls. Roughly 150 participants raised more than $2,000 at this charitable event, and also filled Santa’s sack with gifts for the North Elba Christmas Fund. Among this year’s runners were Gaige Zimmer, 4, and his mom, Kimberly O'Meara Zimmer, of Ballston Spa.
