Adirondack Health welcomes new Chief Operating Officer
SARANAC LAKE – Adirondack Health is pleased to announce the latest addition to its executive leadership team.
Patti Hammond recently joined Adirondack Health as the new Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Hammond has nearly 25 years of progressive leadership experience at hospitals and health systems throughout Albany and the Capital District of New York State.

As the Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Hammond is responsible for Adirondack Health’s physician practices which include the primary care and specialty care centers such as Rheumatology, Cardiology and Bariatrics, and clinical departments including physical rehabilitation, laboratory, medical imaging, cardiopulmonary and nutritional services.
Most recently, Ms. Hammond served as the Vice President of Physician Services at Ellis Medicine in Schenectady for seven years. She was responsible for the oversight of Ellis Medical Group, a multidisciplinary group practice of nearly 250 physicians and advanced practice providers at the three hospital system, and an 82 bed long-term care facility, Ellis Residential and Rehabilitation Center.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Keuka College, a Master’s degree in Health Administration and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Ms. Hammond is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, and was recognized with the YWCA Woman of Achievement Award in 2010.
Ms. Hammond resides in Saranac Lake, and in her free time, she and her significant other John enjoy cooking, outdoor exercise, traveling and skiing. She is the mother of two grown sons, ages 25 and 29.
