Adirondack Health readies runners for the season
SARANAC LAKE – Do you feel your running style could be improved? Does your running result in muscle stress or strain? Do you know the proper diet to support your running lifestyle? If you want to make sure your bases are covered for the upcoming season, consider Adirondack Health’s Smooth Stride Runners’ Clinic to help you run longer, faster and smarter.
Staffed by members of Adirondack Health’s Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Department, the Smooth Strides Runners’ Clinic includes:
• Full running assessment by trained staff
• Biomechanical screening for issues which may lead to injury and lost training time
• Computerized running gait analysis
• Footwear recommendations
• Functional movement assessment
• Nutritional screening
• Running physiology and training guidelines
Clinic dates are Feb. 26, March 12, April 16 and May 14 and all clinics take place at Adirondack Health’s Department of Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine in Lake Placid, located at 29 Church Street. Start times for the clinics are 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., and space is limited to four participants per time slot. Cost is $35 per person.
