Adirondack Health dialysis centers earn national quality recognition
SARANAC LAKE – Adirondack Health’s dialysis treatment centers in Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake have received national recognition for providing exceptional care to patients and families.
The IPRO 5-Diamond Patient Safety Award was bestowed on Adirondack Health for establishing and maintaining the high standards needed to deliver this vital, life-saving treatment.
The nationally recognized 5-Diamond program for centers caring for patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), provides advanced education programs that focus on building a culture of safety among patients, their family and support members, and staff.
Adirondack Health’s two dialysis treatment centers are among the 263 in New York State serving over 28,000 patients. Of the 80 centers participating in the 5-Diamond Patient Safety Status Program, only 35 achieved or maintained 5-Diamond Status in 2014. Adirondack Health is proud to have earned 2 of the 35 New York designations in the 5-Diamond Program, one by the Saranac Lake center and the other by the Tupper Lake dialysis center.
