Brave Kid

Be a super hero for our patients and living center residents

Gifts of all sizes are deeply appreciated and will be used to support the Adirondack Health mission: Excellent Healthcare…Close to Home. Each gift is invested in the improvement of patient and resident care or to enhance a specific program, department or service as requested by the donor.

Gifts can also be added to the Adirondack Health Foundation's endowment fund. Foundation Trustees carefully manage endowment investments and oversee a conservative spending allowance from interest earnings. In this manner, the endowment continues to grow and a donor's investment provides support in perpetuity.

Gifts may be made with cash or a check, a credit card, appreciated stock or real property and may be made in honor or memory of a loved one.

The Foundation staff is available to answer questions to facilitate stock transfers and to provide information on planned giving options such as a bequest, gift of a life insurance policy or the formation of a trust.

Aayden Tristram, photo right, wore a special “Brave Kid” cape for a recent surgical procedure at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.  Not wanting to be left out of the fun, his dad Dillon wore a matching “Brave Kid” cape as well.  Thanks to the special cape, Aayden was able to return to his Superhero duties later that same day.  The team in the Ambulatory Surgical Center at AMC provides pediatric patients with a lunch box that contains a cape, “Brave Kid” membership card, stickers, crayons and coloring pictures to make the experience a little less daunting for the young patients.
