Tupper Lake adult recreational league to launch June 20
TUPPER LAKE – Have you ever wondered, “Why can’t adults have recess too?” Well, now we can!
Adirondack Health’s rehabilitation and sports medicine department will offer a twice-weekly 18+ recreational league in Tupper Lake this summer, with the first session beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20. The Fun and Fitness League for Adults will get together every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. through Thursday, Aug. 3 (excluding the Fourth of July). It’s a chance to meet new people, be active, share laughs with old friends and spend some quality time with your inner 10-year-old.
The league is designed to promote physical activity, stress management and fun. Participants will engage in a variety of activities, including relay races, group hikes, and nostalgic playground games like tag and kickball. There will also be free-ranging discussions concerning nutrition and injury prevention.
There is a $10 fee per session and drop-ins are welcome. Those interested in committing to fun for the entire summer are encouraged to sign up before June 20, to receive a discounted price of $110 for all 13 sessions. The Fun and Fitness League for Adults will also offer a “Bring a Friend for Free Day” on July 13. The program will utilize facilities all over Tupper Lake, from the high school to the municipal park to local hiking trails. A location schedule is available upon request.
Anyone interested in participating can contact Lisa Brown at 518-359-2479 or email@example.com.
