Starts at Mount Pisgah
September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month. What better way to honor that than a 5K?
Join us for the inaugural Adirondack Health Nursing 5K Run/Walk Against Childhood Obesity!
The 5K starts at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at Mount Pisgah. Runners and walkers will head to Adirondack Medical Center, then back to Mount Pisgah, where there will be a celebration.
Register by Sept. 13 at active.com. Registration is $25 for an adult, $75 for a group, $10 for children ages 11 to 17, and free for children ages 10 and younger. Online registration includes a T-shirt. Each adult who runs with a youth aged 17 or younger will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
Proceeds to benefit wellness programs in local schools.

North Country Community College Pool
Race-specific training and technique improvement for triathletes and other experienced swimmers.
Swimming stroke analysis via an underwater camera will be available.
At the North Country Community College Pool in Saranac Lake
5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
Sept. 19 to Dec. 7
$160 for the full program
$90 for one day per week or 12 sessions
$10 for one session
Swimmers will also need to purchase a membership to the NCCC pool.
